Tamara has lived in the Indianapolis area for the past 24 years. She graduated from Vincennes University Mortuary Program. She is a Graduate of the University of Evansville and the University of Oregon. Tamara worked for Leppert Mortuary in Indianapolis, first as an Intern and then as a Funeral Director for 7 years. She worked as a Forensic Autopsy Assistant for the Marion County Coroners Office before entering the funeral business. She has competed in several triathlons, marathons, ultra-marathons and in 2008 Tamara finished the Louisville Ironman. She is a member of Indianapolis Aqua Masters swim team and in 2001 she received the Indy Tri-fit triathlete of the year award. Tamara has one son, John, who is a senior at Indiana University, Bloomington. She has 3 rescue dogs and 2 rescue cats.

Theresa Kolter
Office Manager

Theresa is new to the funeral business and is enjoying her new position as Office Manager. She also works full-time as a Veterinary Technician at the Airport Animal Emergency Clinic. Theresa is putting together Albertson’s Mortuary Pet Funeral Service packages. She has 20 years of experience in the Veterinary Science field, graduating from Purdue University Veterinary Technician Program. She is also a graduate of Indiana University of Bloomington. Theresa is an avid Notre Dame Football fan.

Josh is a native hoosier. He is the son of John Pless, MD, former professor at IU School of Medicine and a Forensic Pathologist.

Josh has a passion for music and pursued a career in the music industry for over twenty years.

Josh has been working in the funeral business for over one year.

Wes Swails
Funeral Director Assistant

Wes Swails is a native of Indianapolis, attending IPS schools and graduating from Harry E. Wood. He attended Indiana Central College (UINDY) and earned an Associate degree in accounting. Wes served in the US Navy in the Aviation division, worked route sales in the Foodservice industry for 40 years and retired in 2004. He married Toni (Willis) Swails in 1962 and together they have four children, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Wes enjoys spending time with family, friends, playing golf and traveling.

In 2004, he started working part-time in the livery service. Wes has worked with some of Indiana’s finest funeral firms.

Harold Lane

Harold and his wife, Ravenna have been married for 42 years. They have three married children; Jennifer, Mark and John. They also have two grandsons; Eric and Caden.

Harold retired from the Indianapolis Star after 31 years and the Hershey Company after 11 years.

Harold has been in the funeral business for almost two years.

Jim is a life long resident of Indianapolis. He graduated from Scecina High School. Jim has spent over 25 years in the funeral business. He is a retired Indianapolis Fire Fighter.

Mark Webb
Funeral Director Assistant

Mark is a lifelong resident of Franklin, Indiana. He attended the Franklin Community School System. Mark started working for the Greenlawn Cemetery upon graduating in 1982. He worked on the grounds crew, becoming the crew leader and Assistant Superintendent in 1991. Mark was appointed by Mayor Hershell Cook to be Superintendent of Greenlawn Cemetary in 1996. He remained in this position until December of 2008.

Mark has also worked for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Fish and Wildlife, and Law Enforcement Divisions at Camp Atterbury.

In his spare time, Mark enjoys exploring and protecting caves all over the US. He is a 30+ year member of the National Speleological Society. Mark spent many weeks at Mammoth Cave National Park doing volunteer restoration work in the cave. Mark was Named a Kentucky Colonel and VIP park volunteer by the Govenor of Kentucky and the National Park Service for his work at Mammoth Cave. Mark also enjoys riding his bicycle and has completed many Hilly Hundred rides in the hills around Bloomington.

Marie J. Albertson obtained an Associate’s Degree in Counseling after retiring from the Indiana State Library. While working in the counseling field, she has concentrated in grief counseling and crisis intervention. She has also authored a book that concentrates on older adults who are undergoing many changes in their lives. Marie is available for private consultations to help alleviate the pain you experience as you go through your loss.

Liason to Hispanic Community

John is a graduate of Park Tudor High School. He played varsity basketball and ran varsity cross country at Park Tudor.He is a senior at Indiana University in Bloomington. John is fluent in Spanish and spent a semester in Barcelona, Spain.
